The Professional Association of Innkeepers International (PAII) has named a new CEO, Pamela Horovitz. Horovitz comes to PAII with 14 years of association management experience, most recently serving as president of the National Association of Recording Merchandisers. According to an announcement from PAII, Horovitz "brings an understanding of a wide range of skills that innkeepers need. After college she held various sales, marketing, and promotion positions at Warner Elektra Atlantic Corporation before joining the staff of NARM. There, she worked her way up the ranks until she was named president in 1996."

The following is from PAII's web site:

"Pam Horowitz, PAII's new CEO, comes with 14 years of association management experience. She began her career in the late 1960s working part-time for The Record Shop while attending the University of Minnesota. After college she held various sales, marketing, and promotion positions, later joined the staff of the National Association of Recording Merchandisers (NARM), and worked her way up the ranks until she was named president in 1996. She has been honored with numerous awards from the music industry.

"Having been a frequent speaker and panelist at conferences, including events in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Holland, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States, Pam is committed to top-notch education and getting out and seeing innkeepers where they live and work.

"Pam has a husband, Jed, of 14 years, a 13-year-old daughter, Becca, and a 13-year-old cat named Meow."
