Historic Inn Purchased by Casino Interests

The Briars Inn, a circa 1814 bed and breakfast in Natchez, Mississippi, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, has been purchased by a developed for the Emerald Star Casino and Resort. The deal is expected to close this week. The casino developer promises that the inn -- located near property expected to house the actual casino -- will remain in tact: "We'll use those rooms for VIPs and high roller suites," he said.
