Icebreaker Ship Could Become Bed and Breakfast

Tuesday November 30, 2004
The icebreaker Mackinaw, a U.S. Coast Guard ship in Lake Michigan, could become a bed and breakfast and museum under the plans of an organization working to save the boat. According to the Associated Press, the group plans "to convert the giant icebreaker to a maritime museum and bed-and-breakfast after it is decommissioned in 2006."
