B&B Part of Green Business Alliance
Sunday November 9, 2008
The Green Rocks Inn in Ridgefield, Connecticut, is an eco-friendly bed and breakfast that recently joined a local green business alliance. According to a report in the Danbury (Connecticut) News-Times, the alliance is made up of businesses whose owners are "interested in promoting a more sustainable future." Kim Wanamaker, co-owner of Green Rocks Inn, told the newspaper that the B&B allows guests to "test drive what a truly sustainable lifestyle looks and feels like." The inn's web site says that organic food is served, all-natural cleaning and lawn-care products are used, and a portion of the needed energy is derived from wind power.
