We're officially in the middle of the holiday season now, which means it's time to cook some great cookies. It's hard to beat these wonderful cookie recipes submitted by professional bed and breakfast innkeepers. At DesBarres Manor Inn, we have an annual holiday tradition of sharing family recipes for holiday baking with our newsletter subscribers. Two years ago I shared my great grandmother’s recipe for melt-in-your-mouth shortbread cookies. The baking of these cookies marked the official start of the Christmas holidays in our home growing up in Cape Breton Island.
