Howard Finster Headquarters Could Become B&B
Wednesday January 7, 2009
A building located on the grounds of the former headquarters of Howard Finster, a preacher and folk artist whose work adorned the cover of The Talking Heads album Little Creatures, could become a bed and breakfast. According to a report by the Associated Press, a nonprofit organization has purchased what is now an overgrown garden with run-down buildings in Pennville, Georgia (about an hour and 45 minutes northwest of Atlanta), and hopes to rescue it. The group's chairman, Tommy Littleton, says he would like to turn one of the buildings into a bed and breakfast, although he has a lot more fundraising to do before that would be possible.
