Marietta, Pennsylvania B&Bs - Amish Country
Monday February 16, 2009
The quaint town of Marietta, Pennsylvania developed as a river community, prospering from the 1820s through the early 1900s as a result of its proximity to the Pennsylvania Canal and the Pennsylvania Railroad. One reason to consider spending time in historic Marietta today is that it's not really on the way to anywhere else, so there's not an excess of tourist traffic. At the same time, it's less than 10 minutes away from Route 30, one of Lancaster County's major highways that leads to the heart of Amish country. Here's a look at bed and breakfasts in Marietta, Pennsylvania.
