B&B Controversy in Grand Junction, Colorado

Because they are most often found in converted homes, proposed bed and breakfasts sometimes run into zoning problems and opposition from neighbors who are concerned about increased traffic and other issues. That is exactly what's happening in Grand Junction, Colorado, a city of about 49,000 residents in the western part of the state. According to an article in the Grand Junction Sentinel, a plan to convert a 6,200-square-foot home located in Grand Junction's "Original Square Mile" -- where the oldest homes are located -- into a bed and breakfast is generating significant controversy.
