Historic Inn Built on Site of Glass Works
Sunday May 24, 2009
The Founders Inn, a bed and breakfast in Glassboro, New Jersey, was originally built in 1855 as a private residence. Exactly 150 years later, in 2005, it was converted into a B&B. According to a recent article in the Gloucester County Times, the inn sits on the site of what was once the first glass works in Gloucester County. That glass works started a century-and-a-half tradition of glassmaking in Glassboro.
