About.com Guide to Bed & Breakfasts since 1997

Elizabeth Arneson is a freelance editor and writer and an experienced traveler who has always loved staying at bed and breakfasts with her husband. She has visited bed and breakfasts in more than 20 states and several countries.

Experience:

Elizabeth has been hooked on bed and breakfasts since her first visit and plans to run one someday. The only question is where, since she would prefer someplace warm (such as Maui) while her husband wants to move to Green Bay (to be close to his beloved Packers). She once appeared on The Jane Pauley Show as an aspiring innkeeper. When she's not on the road, Elizabeth has edited books and written for several publications. She is the assistant lifestyles editor at the Lebanon (Pa.) Daily News.

Education:

Elizabeth is an alumna of Lebanon Valley College, where she majored in English, and the Medical University of South Carolina, where she majored in Health Records Administration. She also has a degree in Paralegal Studies.

From Elizabeth Arneson:

"Bed and breakfasts have grown from serving a small niche market to being a wildly popular lodging alternative. There's a good reason why -- they're wonderful!"
