Jasmine Plantation
The oldest section of this 18th-century farmhouse with a deck and porches dates from 1750, and the grounds include woodland trails and a gazebo with a swing. Guests can choose from five antique-furnished rooms, one with a king bed and the others with queen beds. Three guest rooms have fireplaces, one has a jetted tub, and one can be rented as a suite (with a full-size bed in the second room). Jasmine Plantation is located about 30 miles northwest of Colonial Williamsburg and is surrounded by nearly 50 acres of fields and forests.

Eastover Manor House on the James
Situated on the James River with a half mile of beach and many nature trails, this historic home with enclosed back porch provides three waterfront rooms and one garden-view room. Three rooms have queen beds, and the fourth has two double beds. Eastover Manor is located on the 283-acre grounds of the Eastover Retreat Center, owned by the Peninsula Baptist Association of Newport News, Virginia. It is a 15-minute drive from the Jamestown-Scotland ferry, a free 15-minute journey across the James River. Weddings and special events can be arranged.
YORKTOWN
Marl Inn Bed and Breakfast
Less than a block from Yorktown's restored area, this 1978 Colonial-style home on Church Street contains three guest accommodations; all have private entrances and two are suites with laundry and kitchen areas. Guests can make use of the inn's bicycles, and children are welcome.
York River Inn Bed and Breakfast
From a high bluff on Ambler Street, this bed and breakfast overlooks the York River and offers two queen-bed rooms (one with a river-view private deck) and one suite (its Victorian bed is queen width and double length) with Jacuzzi tub and river-view sitting area. Antique pieces include artifacts of Virginia-born presidents, decorations related to Pocahontas, and various period prints and maps. Fax and laundry services are available on request.
