How to Suggest a Listing

Q. How can I get my inn listed on your site?

A. Simple -- either post a note in the Bed and Breakfast Forum or send email to bandb.guide@about.com. In either case, please be sure to include the following information:

  • Your email address.
  • Your inn's name.
  • Where your inn is located on the Internet (exact URL).
  • Where your inn is located on the earth (city, state/province, country).
  • A list of the Subjects pages onto which your inn might fit.
NOTE: With the exception of inns which have been recommended by visitors (not innkeepers), individual inns are not listed on the "Find B&Bs in..." pages. These are reserved for recommended inns and online directories.
  • A brief description of why your inn fits into each category. For example, if you say that your inn would fit under "Golf Nearby," something like "Our inn is located next to Bent Creek Golf Resort, ranked by Southern Living Travel Guide as one of the top 50 Southern Resort Courses" is perfect.
Feel free to suggest new categories; I'm always open to expanding the NetLinks, although I can't promise that every suggested category will be added to the list.

Note that listings are free and made at my discretion. And please be patient -- there are a lot of great inns out there!

Q. How can I get events listed on your Events Calendar?

A. Again, it's simple. Send email. Be sure to include the following information:

  • Your email address.
  • The name of your inn, organization or company.
  • What the event is (as much information as possible is welcome; we will edit it for inclusion on the calendar).
  • Where information about the event is located on the Internet (exact URL).
  • Where the event is located on the earth (city, state, country).
  • A phone number people can call for more information.
Note that listings on the Events Calendar are free and made at my discretion.

Q. Are there other ways to have my inn featured at this site?

A. Absolutely. You may want to list your bed and breakfast in the Sprinks advertising engine. And it's easy for innkeepers to contribute to the Breakfast Recipes, B&B Deals, and Strange But True Innkeeper Stories. Each page includes a link that provides the details on how you can get involved.

And be sure to visit the Bed and Breakfast Forum and the Bed and Breakfast Chat Room to share your thoughts with B&B enthusiasts and innkeepers from around the world.
