The St. Augustine Historic Inns are planning an "Olde World Christmas Tour" for Sunday, December 9, 2001, in downtown St. Augustine, Florida.

Named as one of the Southeast Tourism Society’s top 20 events in 2000, the Olde World Christmas Tour features 25 historic inns. A significant portion of the proceeds from the tour are donated to the St. Johns County Police Athletic League.

These bed and breakfasts are architectural landmarks depicting nearly 300 years of American history, many of which have been photographed and written about in publications internationally. Within walking distance to every corner of St. Augustine’s "Ancient City," the Olde World Christmas Tour also features local restaurants' signature sweets and savories in each of the participating inns.

The excitement of the holidays and St. Augustine's famous "Nights of Lights" should make Sunday, December 9, one of the most memorable days of the Christmas season. From 2 to 6 p.m., the inns will be ablaze with enchanting Christmas decorations. Many of the innkeepers will be dressed in Victorian costume.

Tickets for this event can be ordered in advance by calling P.A.L. at (904) 829-9438, ext. 6, or (904) 810-5635. Tickets also are available at participating inns. More information can be found on the Web at http://www.staugustineinns.com/tour.
