Bed and breakfasts in Juneau, Alaska's capital city

Joe Juneau, a miner looking for gold, is the namesake of Alaska's capital city. Today, Juneau is home to the Alaska State Library, a number of parks, the award-winning Alaskan Brewing Co., and much more.

Juneau is located 900 air miles north of Seattle, Washington, and nearly 600 air miles south of Anchorage, another major Alaskan city.

Best of all, Juneau has no shortage of bed and breakfasts.

Alaska Wolf Lodge
This inn, claiming the title of Juneau's original B&B, is a 4,000 square foot western red cedar log home with open beams. A suite with two bedrooms and a full kitchen is available along with traditional guest rooms.

Alaskan Bear Bed and Breakfast
A waterfront retreat, this inn features four guest rooms with panoramic lake, mountain and ocean views. The hosts can help visitors book Glacier Bay and Tracy Arm Cruises, sport fishing trips, whale watching, river rafting, canoeing, and more.

Auke Lake Bed and Breakfast
Just 10 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from downtown, this inn also is only 10 minutes from Mendenhall Glacier.

Beachside Villa Luxury Inn
Located on the shores of Douglas Island directly across Gastineau Channel from Juneau, this inn offers two suites within walking distance of downtown.

Cashen Quarters Bed and Breakfast
Five suites each include a full kitchen, cable TV and telephone. The inn is about five blocks from the Mt. Roberts tram.

Pearson's Pond Luxury Inn
Each guest room and suite has a private entry and deck, portable gym and more. Packages for Eaglecrest Ski Area are available, and adjacent trails are ready to be explored. This inn is located in the rainforest near the face of Mendenhall Glacier.
