Hillsboro, Virginia Recommended by Your Guides: Expect a personable innkeeper and delicious breakfasts. A perfect getaway during the fall foliage season, as it's located between the Blue Ridge Mountains and Short Hill Mountains. Plenty of historic sightseeing is available nearby.
Needmoor Inn
Clarksville, Virginia Recommended by Bernice Greene: Needmoor Inn is a great place to stay. It's near Kerr Lake in Virginia, near the North Carolina border. They even welcome children. All the rooms have private baths, and Mr. and Mrs. Sweely (the owners) go out of their way to make one feel welcome and enjoy their visit.
