Where do the innkeepers sleep?

By Elizabeth Arneson, About.com

Question: Where do the innkeepers sleep?
Answer: Most often, they sleep in the main building. Sometimes they have quarters in another building on the property, and in rare cases they spend their nights in a completely different location.

I have never had trouble reaching an innkeeper when we needed one -- they are very good about letting you know what number to call, or what door to knock on, when you have a problem. If you arrive at a bed and breakfat that does not provide this information, ask the innkeeper when he or she shows you to your room.
