Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 9 minutes
Ingredients:
  • 1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup soft butter
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup soft butter
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon flavoring
  • Red or green food coloring
Preparation:
Mix first three ingredients to make dough. Chill dough.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Roll 1/3 of dough at a time 1/8-inch thick. Use approximately 1-inch holly and heart or round cookie cutters, working quickly before dough softens. Coat both sides of shapes with sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Prick two or three times with a tiny fork in center of each cutout.

Bake 7 to 9 minutes, just until set, not brown. Cool on paper towels.

Mix remaining four ingredients to make frosting. Put two wafers together with 1/8-inch of frosting between them.
