Innkeeper Comments: "We have participated in the annual Inn to Inn Christmas Cookie Tour here in the Mt. Washington Valley of New Hampshire. Our holiday cookie recipe is easy to make, delicious and very festive when displayed."

Cook Time: 12 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 cups flour
- Red raspberry jam
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Add flour slowly and blend until smooth.
Roll dough into small balls about the size of a large marble and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Make a small indentation in each ball of dough. Fill the indentations with jam, being careful not to overflow.
Bake for about 10 to 12 minutes, or until bottoms are a golden brown. Cool on rack. Cookies will last for 2 to 3 weeks in covered canisters.
Makes approximately 2 to 3 dozen cookies.
