Of course, you'll need a comfortable bed in which to lay your weary body after a day full of seeing everything Atlanta has to offer.
If you'd like to spend some time pampering yourself like royalty, perhaps Bonnie Castle, found in Grantville (just south of Atlanta), will fit the bill. Bonnie Castle was built in 1896 by the Colley family, who ran area textile mills. The family lived in the home until the early 1980s; it is now a five-room bed and breakfast with very reasonable rates. The castle features a beautiful turret and a grand staircase with wonderful stained glass. It's even rumored to have a benevolent ghost in residence.
In nearby Stone Mountain, which is one of the sites that rates a stop on any trip to Atlanta, you can find the Village Inn Bed and Breakfast, another inn recommended by a visitor to this site. Lisa Granholm called it "a great vacation spot as well as a stop for weary business travelers. The fresh breakfasts and various amenities, including Jacuzzi tubs and in-room coffemakers, telephones and TVs make this historic B&B a welcome stop!"
