Brass Lantern Inn

Stowe, Vermont -- Innkeeper Andy Aldrich has heard the same story from multiple guests: Other guests arrive late at night in a room across the hall, talking loudly about the good time they had at a party. The only catch... no guests were staying in the room across the hall.

The White House of Wilmington

Wilmington, Vermont -- Assistant Innkeeper Adam Grinold reports that the spirit of the wife of lumber baron Martin Brown, who built this home in 1915, is still on the premises. "Both guests and staff have reported disembodied footsteps, unexplainable cold spots, doors that open by themselves, and even visible apparitions," he said.

Lakewood, Washington -- According to innkeeper Deanna Robinson, the builder of Thornewood Castle has appeared to several people over the years. "I have had my own run-ins with him," she said. "I cut off the lights in his former gentlemen's smoking room, go back to cut them on -- and a light bulb has been unscrewed while I am the only person in the house."
