Florida House Inn
Amelia Island, Florida - Built in 1857 and located in the historic Fernandina Beach area, this 15-room pet-friendly bed and breakfast is Florida's oldest surviving hotel. Thirteen rooms have king or queen beds, 10 have working fireplaces, and six have Jacuzzi tubs.
Hummingbird Inn
Goshen, Virginia - Dogs are permitted at this 1853 Carpenter Gothic villa, which has four queen-bed guest rooms (two with double Jacuzzi0. Located 23 miles northwest of Lexington on the western boundary of the Shenandoah Valley, this inn sits next to the CSX railroad, formerly the Chesapeake and Ohio, so guests can expect to hear a train passing during their stay.
Mansfield Plantation
Georgetown, South Carolina - Pets are welcome at this 900-acre antebellum rice plantation, where The Patriot was filmed. There are eight guest rooms spread among the 1800 plantation house, 1800 kitchen building, 1840 schoolhouse, and 1930s guest house. Located on the Black River, the grounds provide opportunities for biking, bird watching, fishing and hunting.
Snug Harbor Inn
Madeira Beach, Florida - About 10 miles from St. Petersburg and 30 miles from Tampa, this inn with a pool and boat dock allows most pets and has a fenced-in, shaded yard for them. Guests can choose from eight rooms -- all with kitchens, most with queen beds, and some with views of the Gulf of Mexico or Boca Ciega Bay -- that can also be rented as suites. Continental breakfast is provided.
