Albany House Bed and Breakfast
Albany, Wisconsin - Victoria Wiedel: We stayed here for the first time while visiting relatives, and we've been back three times. It's a sophisticated place located in a small town, and the breakfasts are wonderful. I can't wait to return! Butler House
Mankato, Minnesota - Judy T. Swanson: We own two B&Bs in Alaska and visited Minnesota in the fall. The Butler House was the best! It's a 7,500 sq. foot turn-of-the-century mansion filled with antiques. Gracious hosts. Delicious breakfast. Canoe Bay
Chetek, Wisconsin - Pat Carver: This is power-relaxing at its best. They have cabins as well as rooms, plus top-end dining, massages, a huge private reserve and more. The times we have stayed here are truly memorable times of peace and quiet. Inn on Crescent Lake
Excelsior Springs, Missouri - Hank Bovee: During my business trip, there were no hotel rooms in Kansas City; what I thought to be bad luck turned to good fortune, as the inn was far superior to any hotel. Well-appointed rooms, superb breakfasts. Homeridge Bed and Breakfast
Jerseyville, Illinois - Rhona Lococo: A lovely setting for getting away from it all or celebrating a romance. The hostess is very charming. This is a 14-room, Italianate Victorian private home on 18 acres. Night Heron Bed, Books and Breakfast
Cambridge-Rockdale, Wisconsin - Elizabeth Arneson: A cozy bed and breakfast with a sociable cat and great conversation from the hosts, who are literature-oriented. We stayed here during an anniversary trip to Wisconsin. Port City Victorian Inn Bed and Breakfast
Muskegon, Michigan - Mike Rainone: Innkeeper Barbara Schossau did everything possible to make the stay pleasant and relaxed. The commercial rate was a steal compared to the slim hotel/motel offering in Muskegon. The bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in. My only regret is that I didn't have my wife there to share the two-person jacuzzi in the bathroom. This is a five-star inn. Sandhills Lighthouse Inn
Ahmeek, Michigan - Stacy Hopkins: Beautiful, relaxing. Bill is a wonderful chef. The Swallow's Nest Bed and Breakfast
Lake Delton, Wisconsin - Elizabeth Arneson: A relatively new-construction home with a wonderful skylight in the two-story atrium. Be sure to ask for a look at Rod's paintings. We stayed here during an anniversary trip to Wisconsin. Wagners 1844 Inn
Sandusky, Ohio - Elizabeth Arneson: An Italianate-style, antique-filled home with wonderful hosts and a well-behaved white German shepherd. We stayed here during an anniversary trip. White Lace Inn
Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin - Elizabeth Arneson: We stayed at the main house of this four-building inn during an anniversary trip. The rooms are impeccably kept and breakfast was wonderful. It's rather large but quite romantic. |
