Southwest U.S. - Recommended Inns
Recommended bed and breakfasts in Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, and Utah.
Mitchell, Nebraska - Judy Dayhoff: Barn is "squeaky" clean and tastefully decorated; landscaping is done to perfection. Dining room in converted horse stalls; breakfast served on silver platters with fine crystal and china. Highly recommended.
Canyon Lake, Texas - Julie McKee: It's everything a B&B should be! The hostess is very friendly and helpful. The food is to die for - not your run-of-the-mill dishes. The rooms are all totally different themes, with very comfortable beds. The grounds are very relaxing, beautiful and the deer will eat biscuits right out of your hand - no joke!
Aline, Oklahoma - Daniel and Dana Snow: We have found an absolute treasure in Heritage Manor, our absolute favorite place to stay. The innkeepers are so warm and nice to be around. The inn is wonderfully appointed with vintage decor, and you'll have the finest of chefs cooking for you! It's our secret getaway. We've been four times already, and we look forward to many more!
Jefferson, Texas - The Inmans: A beautiful B&B, great location, excellent service and both very friendly and easy going. Breakfast was delicious, presentation beautiful. Priced reasonably with discounts during the week. We have stayed in dozens of B&Bs across the U.S. and this one is tops. Will definitely recommend to friends and family and will go back.
Colorado Springs, Colorado - K. Magahey: It's got all the fluff and frills of a B&B without feeling like you're staying at your great-grandmother's house. Besides the modern conveniences, it's located close to many tourist attractions in the area as well as golf courses and the college.
Montrose, Colorado - Barbara Bianco: On the Western Slope. Warm, relaxed atmosphere and delicious breakfast -- Belgian waffles with fresh sliced peaches and whipped cream. You can't find more helpful, cheery folks than hosts Barbara and Rick Helm.
