2005 Top 10 Most Romantic Bed and Breakfasts
Inns featured at iLoveInns.com and in American Historic Inns guidebooks

By Elizabeth Arneson, About.com

American Historic Inns, Inc., publisher of more than 2.5 million bed and breakfast guidebooks and the companion website iLoveInns.com, has announced its picks for the 2005 Top 10 Most Romantic Inns.

According to the company, this award is based on numerous attributes, including a sense of place, luxurious decor, hospitality and overall romantic mystique.

Properties on the 2005 list include a San Antonio mansion that was built as a wedding present in 1900; a Virginia country inn surrounded by one hundred acres of rolling pastureland; a Pennsylvania hideaway tucked away on 500 wooded acres; an East Hampton, New York, beach retreat where visitors can enjoy world-class restaurants, shops, spas and breathtaking sunsets; and a California wine country gem that has attracted the likes of such visitors as Margaret Thatcher and Martha Stewart.
