More About The Old Jail Bed and Breakfast:
The jail was built in 1884 for a grand total of less than $312. It originally housed four jail cells, but was sold in 1923. Since then, it has been used as an ice house, a shoe repair shop and a garage. It first opened as a bed and breakfast in 1981.
The next door building which includes this inn's other two suites was originally a saloon, but has also housed a variety of businesses over the years -- including a general store, a chicken plucking operation, a beauty shop and a mortuary.
Taylors Falls is on the eatern edge of Minnesota, just inside the Wisconsin border.
