All rooms, which are lavishly decorated with 18th- and 19th-century antiques and art and fine linens, have marble baths with deep tubs, mahogany wainscotting and brass and Limoges fittings.
Other features include antique four-poster canopied beds with down comforters and oversized pillows, fireplaces and minibars. Among the modern conveniences provided in-room are cable television with pay-per-view channels and two-line speakerphones with voice mail and data ports. Fax machines are also available.
Guests can visit the outdoor heated pool, Omni-surface tennis court and fitness club, offering massages as well as fitness and yoga classes. Also on-site with a view of the Shakespeare garden is the acclaimed Mayflower restaurant. A winner of Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence, the restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and includes a bar.
