Each of the inn's nine rooms features a distinctive design. For example, the Lodge Room boasts a starry painted ceiling, two antique eagles resting on the posts of a Cleopatra-throne-style bed, a reclining couch resembling one found in King Tut's tomb, a pulpit from a 19th-century Vermont meeting house, a fireplace mantle made from solid slate slabs and painted faux marble, and a collection of jackets, hats and outfits from lodges such as the Masons and the Odd Fellows.
The Mountain Room includes a sleeping area that takes the form of a fire tower and contains a 360-degree diorama of the Green Mountains and a sitting area that offers a ceiling of snowshoes, walls of Vermont stone and floorboards of old-growth wood. Also embellishing this room are mountain climbing equipment, skis and boots from the early 20th century and a tribute to the 10th Mountain Division of World War II.
Appointed with original art and antiques, all guest rooms contain a television and VCR, stereo system, telephone, and modem hookup. Most have wood-burning fireplaces, Jacuzzi tubs and steam showers. Also, located in a barn next to the main house are two 2-bedroom suites: the Stable on the lower level and the Hayloft on the second level.
Guests may unwind with a spa treatment or a visit to the game room, which includes an 18th-century billiards table, shuffleboard table and a large video selection. Spa, ski, golf and dinner packages are available.
The inn serves a full breakfast in its restaurant and afternoon tea in the library. A private dining table in the wine cellar can be reserved for dinner, which is also served nightly in the formal dining room.
