More About Akwaaba:

This Brooklyn bed and breakfast's property includes a secluded garden, glassed-in sun porch, and shaded courtyard. Afternoon tea and refreshments are provided. A personal concierge is available. Manhattan is about 20 minutes away. The owners also run bed and breakfasts in Cape May, New Jersey, and Washington, D.C.

Personal Recommendation:

My husband and I can vouch that a stay at Akwaaba Mansion makes for a relaxing getaway. It's amazing how quiet everything is inside the inn, and owners Monique Greenwood and Glenn Pogue know how to make you feel at home. If you're looking for somewhere different to stay in New York City, Akwaaba is a fantastic choice. We stayed in the Jumping the Broom suite and highly recommend it.
