Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this bed and breakfast is a restored 1909 mansion with two acres of landscaped gardens. Built around a cobblestone courtyard, the inn's gounds also feature two cascading ponds, stone walls and slate benches.In the winter months, skiing, snowshoeing and ice fishing can all be found nearby. On warmer days, a walking tour of historic Brandon, Vermont (chartered in 1761) may be of interest -- or you may prefer a bicycle tour or self-guided hiking tour. Canoeing and horseback riding are also close by. The innkeepers will provide box lunches for a nominal fee.
