Phoenix Bed and Breakfasts
A look at B&Bs in and around Phoenix, Arizona

By Elizabeth Arneson, About.com

Ditat Deus -- "God enriches" -- is the motto of Arizona, a state full of rugged beauty and hot, dry weather.

Outdoor activities are widely available in Phoenix, which is considered by some to be one of the world's top 5 golf destinations. You can also take in the breathtaking scenery on your mountain bike, with a night hike at the Phoenix Botanical Gardens, or by climbing rocks at White Tank Mountain Regional Park. And there's plenty of other outdoor recreation waiting for you in the Valley of the Sun, which includes Phoenix, Tempe, Scottsdale, and other nearby locales.

If you prefer spectator sports, Phoenix is home to teams in all four major sports: the NFL's Arizona Cardinals, Major League Baseball's Arizona Diamondbacks, the NBA's Phoenix Suns and the NHL's Phoenix Coyotes. Non-sport spectator events include performances at the Phoenix Theatre.

Of course, you'll want to stay in a bed and breakfast to enhance your visit. Here are some to choose from.

Maricopa Manor
Phoenix, Arizona
The Spanish-styled manor house was built in 1928 on a country road five miles from the center of downtown Phoenix. It is within walking distance of the zoo. Seven suites, all with a private bath, are available.

Spanish Moss Bed and Breakfast

Just 20 minutes from Sky Harbor Airport, this small B&B is also convenient to Interstate 17. Two guest rooms are available.

La Paz in Desert Springs
Scottsdale, Arizona
Located in North Scottsdale, this B&B offers guests the use of a pool and hot tub. Four rooms are available for guests.

Mi Casa Su Casa
