By Elizabeth Arneson, About.com

The Big EZ Lodge
Big Sky, Montana

At an elevation of 7,500 feet in the Madison Mountains and Gallatin National Forest of southwestern Montana, this child-friendly inn can be found between Yellowstone National Park and Big Sky Resort. A member of the Kilgore Luxury Group and recipient of the American Institute of Architecture's Award of Merit, Big EZ Lodge has been praised by Andrew Harper's Hideaway Report and Fodor's.

Rates range from $299 to $350.

Guests can choose from 12 rooms in the Main Lodge and Guest Inn, some featuring a river rock fireplace, and the Lone Star Suite, a separate lodge with a kitchen and living room. The decor is classic Western with fine art and stylish details scattered throughout. All accommodations include a dedicated work area, laptop with broadband Internet access, multi-line speakerphone with voice mail, and TV/VCR.

A gourmet breakfast is provided in the lodge's dining room, which also serves lunch and dinner and prepares picnic baskets.

In addition to the numerous outdoor activities available off-site, guests can spend time fly-fishing at the lodge's two trout ponds or perfecting golf strokes at its 18-hole, par-72 championship course.
